Chicken
We raise Freedom Ranger broiler chickens at Long Winter Farm: these are a slower-growing variety than the industry standard and tend to yield healthier, more active birds that thrive on pasture. Our chickens are fed organic grain and veggie scraps. We process chickens on-farm twice a year. Pick-up is here at the farm during a specified window of time. Chickens are $6/pound and tend to be in the 3-5 pound range.

Pork
We raise 10-12 pigs each year. Our pigs are raised on pasture and are fed organic grain and vegetable scraps. We sell pork as half- or whole-pig shares.
Beef
We keep a few cows at the farm to help maintain pasture and provide us with some compost. We process between 1 and 3 cows each year for beef. We sell beef as quarter- or half-cow shares.
