We raise a combination of Tamworth-Large Black and Tamworth-Berkshire pigs: robust heritage breeds known for excellent-quality meat and the ability to thrive on pasture. Our pigs are put to work: they cleared land for our greenhouse, our berry bushes, and for some portions of our vegetable gardens. Pigs love to forage for succulent roots and grubs; they also clear shrubs and weeds. In addition to pasture, our pigs eat organic grain from Green Mountain Feeds and vegetable scraps from our certified organic vegetable operation.
