Late summer at the farm store. CSA members shop at their leisure at our open-to-the-public, self-service farm store. In exchange for early season enrollment, members enjoy discounted produce and the convenience of shopping without cash or check.

2020 CSA is full!

Everyone wins with Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)!

The CSA model benefits customers by ensuring them access to excellent-quality, fresh, local food. Simultaneously, it benefits farmers by providing them with capital early in the season, when expenses for seed and equipment are highest.

Long Winter Farm uses a farmstand credit-based CSA model. As a member, you pay for your share early in the year to help us finance our seed and supply orders. In return, we offer an additional credit over your membership: 15% for members who pay between February 1 and 15 and 10% for members who pay between February 15 and March 15. Shop at your leisure (Friday 2pm through Sunday during reasonable daylight hours), tally up your bounty, subtract it from your credit, and enjoy! Our main-season farmstand CSA will run from early May until mid-October.

The minimum share size for 2020 is $100 ($115 credit for early enrollees) and the maximum is $500 ($575 credit for early enrollees).   Your credit must be used up by the end of the season. Credit can be used towards produce and pastured eggs; it cannot be used for our pastured chicken, turkey, pork, or beef.

In addition to our popular long-weekend farmstand, we offer a midweek box of fresh, pre-determined produce for customers who want extra veggies or were not able to shop over the weekend. Small boxes are $20 and usually have 5-6 types of produce; large boxes are $30 and usually have 7-8 types of produce. Boxes must be ordered by Sunday evening and can be picked up at the farm on Tuesday afternoons. There is no subsequent obligation with our weekly produce boxes: order one when you’d like one!

We are very happy to be able to offer a few subsidized CSA shares this year!

We have partnered with the Northeastern Organic Farmers Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT)’s Farm Share program to offer subsidized membership for limited-income community members. Our partnership depends on community donations to the Farm Share program. To learn more about donating or applying for a share, please visit NOFA-VT’s Farm Share page .

For more information about the CSA, email Annie at longwinterfarmstowe@gmail.com.com .

Shares are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Midweek veggie boxes are a great option if you miss our farm store hours! Order yours weekly: no need to commit to the whole season.
